Car Barn – The Attractive Alternative

Everyone has seen the rows upon rows of unattractive, drab garages that tend to be erected on housing estates that leave an eyesore in our otherwise beautiful country. That’s not to say that garages can’t look aesthetically-pleasing; a lot of people spend time and effort to be able to house possessions in this way. But the garages this author has in mind are the ones children use as goalmouths when they have an urban kick-about! You know the type! They’re unattractive, obsolete, and quite frankly they are a blemish on the capabilities of architects, joiners, builders, and the rest of their creative ilk.

A lovely alternative is a car barn. It may sound like a farming building to some, but these stunning constructions are so much more than storing a tractor or two! Look at the image featured on this article; this is just an example of an Oakleigh Manor car barn. This particular exemplar is a three-bay car barn, but Oakleigh Manor can build a four-bay if your needs require, or even one- or two-bay if you have limited space. Made with the highest standard of craftsmanship, they really are a sight to behold, and a lovely housing for your vehicles, which may well be that aforementioned tractor if you so desire! During the market research conducted before the writing of this article even started, this author was interested in car barns in general, and I popped the phrase into a search engine, and what I found was astonishing. An article found from The Telegraph was indeed relating to cars, and relating to a barn, but not specifically car barns! Back in December of 2014, a large number of vintage cars had been found in a barn in France, sitting dormant for around 40 years. The vehicles have an estimated value of €11-15 million. Quite incredible! If you want to give it a read for yourself, click here. So who knows what sort of treasure trove your car barn could leave your children’s children in years to come!
