Sevenoaks Project, day 17.
The garden area is now taking shape, you can see the paddlestone layered walling is being installed to face the strong retaining walls that hold the banks back from the main terrace area.
The weather has been very cold as the east winds are staying with us this week, but at least its dry. This week we intend to complete the paddlestone face work on the 1st tier walls & steps, then we will get to work on the new granite terrace and the 2nd tier retaining walls.
The softscape works will also start next week, all the new planting areas will be soil conditioned to a depth of 35cm with organic compost and slow release fertilser, the new lawn areas will be levelled and composted to suit the new turf.
Our next update will show the new terrace in place and a majority of the groundworks completed. Look out for it on the blog!
