It is natural for people to look at companies at face value; what they generally see are corporate machines. This is despite the fact that there are people behind the scenes that get the company through every day. Here at Oakleigh Manor, we don’t like that perception. Some companies may not mind being seen as hollow shells, but we don’t. So with that in mind we would like you to meet our administration team!
Stuart Charlesworth – Office Manager
Stuart started in here in 2013, and he is primarily responsible for the day-to-day running of the Oakleigh Manor office. As he describes, he has his “fingers in a number of different pies”, as his role has him doing a whole range of activities! These include recruitment, sorting quotations, helping with the marketing, health and safety, phone calls, bookkeeping…and this is only the tip of the iceberg! His main role, though, is to oversee the admin team, and is an invaluable link between them and the company directors. In his free time, Stuart enjoys reading, fundraising, and singing in his band The Lost Missiles.
Rhiannon Field – Office Junior
Fresh out of university, Rhiannon started in 2014, and she is the first point of contact our potential clients have with us. Her daily responsibilities include phone calls, dealing with enquiries, making initial estimates and quotations for all of the companies under the Oakleigh Manor name. Helping Stuart run the office, she also undertakes the filing, the scheduling of meetings, the organisation of our landscaping teams and sorting calendars. Again, this is only the tip of the iceberg; she’s an incredibly valuable member of the team. In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym, riding her horses Mon’Ami and Indie, and taking part in running events. Her first half-marathon is later on this month, wish her luck!
Stuart Hopkins – Procurement Manager
This Stuart is one of three that work for Oakleigh Manor! He started in 2014, and as procurement manager, he is mainly responsible for the purchasing of materials, organising site meetings, stock control, invoicing, creating purchase ordering systems, streamlining functions, building company-supplier relationships and replenishment. A true workaholic, this one! You can even find him taking deliveries in the yard most days! In his spare time, he likes to write music, go cycling, socialise with friends and he likes to travel when he can!
Lewis Williams – Marketing Administrator
The newest member to our admin team, Lewis started in 2015 after graduating the year prior. As marketing administrator, he deals with the day-to-day running of Oakleigh Manor’s social media presence. He writes the blog for the website, which is becoming quite popular amongst our Facebook followers! He creates and meets with company directors about strategy, amends and builds the website when he has time, helps with design and communicates with design consultants, and liaises with the company’s SEO consultant. He also has a part to play in the company’s flyer campaigns. In his spare time, Lewis likes to play sing and play bass in his band, play pool, watch whatever football he can lay his eyes on, and throw a few darts!
