After some changes to personnel here at Oakleigh Manor HQ in Dargate, we feel it is about time we updated you as to these changes. You may recall a previous blog post that brought you the previous line-up of the administration team; if not, you can refresh your collective memories by clicking here. You may be pleased to hear that Rhiannon Field, the Office Junior is still with us in her new role as New Business Manager. We’re very pleased to hear it ourselves; she works incredibly hard for the company. She is still joined by Lewis Williams, our Marketing Administrator.
However, I regret to inform you that since the last blog post, both Stuart Hopkins and Stuart Charlesworth have departed for ventures new. Mr Hopkins hasn’t gone too far; the ex-Procurement Manager is now working on site for Oakleigh Manor Horticultural Services. According to the Horticultural Director David Reade, he opted for a change of scenery and is very happy for it! Mr Charlesworth, on the other hand, has decided after years of working in corporate administration, including a number of years here at Oakleigh Manor as Office Manager, that the time has come for him to pursue his passion of portrait photography. We wish them both well. From having three gents named ‘Stuart’ working for the company, we are down to one and that is, of course, one of our Managing Directors, Mr Barten. Luckily, he isn’t going anywhere any time soon!
We all maintain personal contact with them both, but as far as work in the office is concerned, the recent employment of two new faces will help Oakleigh Manor continue through a fantastic 2015 and beyond. Scroll down to meet them…
Brittany Ling – Office Manager
After spending three years studying for her Bachelor’s degree in Law at the University of Sussex, Brittany is now our new Office Manager, effectively replacing Stuart Charlesworth and his numerous daily activities in running the Oakleigh Manor HQ. She has taken to the role like a fish to water! Schooled in Canterbury, in her spare time, she likes to socialise with her friends and be involved with anything and everything that is equestrian, including looking after and riding Ralf, her horse.
Ashleigh Miles – Contracts Manager
In contrast to the three fledgling members of administration staff in terms of their careers, Ashleigh arrives as Contracts Manager with over 20 years experience in the landscaping industry, combining the flair of youth with the assurance of experience perfectly! He has actually worked for Oakleigh Manor before in the past. Twice! And here he is in his third term. Wanting a change to with life constantly on site, Mr Miles brings his landscaping know-how into the role of Contracts Manager, where he manages procurement, the daily sites the company operates, yard stock levels and much more. A Faversham man, born and bred, Ashleigh has worked in London for large landscaping firms, as well as a stint in Milton Keynes. In his spare time, he has a keen interest in motorsports, such as watching MotoGP and the British Superbikes.
