Our Joinery Systems

With all the talk of our automated and electric gates recently, it can be easy to overlook the fact the Oakleigh Manor Garden Joinery craft a lot more of our bespoke offerings. These include our wonderful oak framed garden rooms, for which we have been receiving a large number of enquiries recently. However, the craftsmen in our Kent-based joinery workshop are also responsible for the bespoke trellises, arbors, pergolas, decking, planters and screens which are uniquely created to meet your needs and your needs alone. We do this by adopting one of four of our own joinery systems. Aren’t you lucky?! You get the choice between the Westbury, Kingsgate, Mayfair and Chilham Trellis systems, all of which we design and handcraft ourselves. Read on to find out more about these systems and perhaps pick your favourite!

Westbury

Formed in beautiful Western Red cedar, the Westbury system utilises horizontal lattices to an eye-catching effect. The wonderful advantage of all of our systems is that they can be adopted to create a wide range of bespoke products that can help enhance your garden. For example, the Westbury system can be made screens for privacy and wind protection, seating, planters…anything that you can think of, Oakleigh Manor can probably help! You can see all of these systems on the designated webpage for garden joinery on our website.

Kingsgate

The Kingsgate is also formed in Western Red Cedar, but its formation makes it perfect for decking areas in your garden. It can even be crafted with built-in storage if you wish. However, that isn’t to say it cannot do a fantastic job formed as cedar screens, planters and garden seating, as well as trellises. Like all of our systems, the Kingsgate looks especially eye-catching when part of a rear garden space. You can see all of these systems on the designated webpage for garden joinery on our website.

Mayfair

This system pays homage to the classic trellis system. However, the Mayfair isn’t the usual mass manufactured product you can pick up at any vendor! Lovingly made in our joinery workshop, the Mayfair is extremely popular. It is ideal for any roof garden; the system even got its name from a roof garden in Mayfair, where it was first installed after it was designed by our in-house teams for a client in that area of London! You can see all of these systems on the designated webpage for garden joinery on our website.

Chilham Trellis

Finally, we come to the Chilham Trellis. Purposely built as an alternative to another diamond lattice design, this particular system was designed to exude a feeling of heritage. The framed panels make the system very strong, making it perfect as a windbreak on roof gardens, front or rear garden spaces. It is also suitable for supporting foliage weight for a spot of vertical gardening! Not a bad way to do it in my opinion!
