Large Contemporary Style Family Garden
Designed & built in Summer 2024, our clients wanted to transform their large, lifeless garden into a contemporary garden haven for their young family to enjoy and for adults to relax, entertain and enjoy al-fresco dining. It was important to create different areas of the garden, such as the Dining Terrace and the Kitchen Garden, to help break up the big open space and take the emphasis away from the boundaries, whilst still maintaining good circulation throughout the garden.
As you enter the garden through the patio doors, the garden welcomes you with a cosy porcelain terrace, perfect for a cup of morning coffee, surrounded by a lush planting scheme. Then, as you wander across the stepping stone pathway through the lawn, you enter the Dining Terrace: a raised porcelain patio home to an outdoor kitchen & BBQ area, framed by a bespoke Western Red Cedar pergola. The self-binding gravel pathways then lead you to the Kitchen Garden, housing a Victorian-style greenhouse and raised sleeper beds, which our client lovingly constructed himself – ideal for home-grown produce. The large central lawn provides a perfect area for the children to play, and the whole scheme is tied together with a beautiful contemporary planting scheme.
