Contemporary pool with beach inspired planting
Located on the cliff tops in East Kent, this stunning Ceramic mosaic tiled pool was designed based upon a large family pool, size 12.5m x 5.5m x 1.5m deep, with full length steps making easy access for all users from the main terrace and dining areas.
The Coastal theme was reflected throughout the Pool and Pool garden design with material and styling choices, harmonising the new scheme with the house and its surroundings, whilst achieving maximum sunshine within its south facing aspect, and some shelter from the cool winds of the English Channel.
The salt air environment is unkind to most materials, so durable Ceramics, Sandstones and Pool Equipment will resist the harsh salty enviroment.
Efficiency and ongoing running costs were a key factor in the Pool design, this pool incorporates an Energy efficient Air Source Heating system, Chemical Dosing to carefully regulate the use of harsh chemicals and a Safety Cover with added to heat retention and chemical reducing benefits.
Other features within this new pool scheme include the new pool terrace and inter-connecting paths and terraces, new purpose made Pergola Kitchen & Garden Furniture formed in Acoya hardwood, new lawns, Boules Court and a beautiful Coastal planting scheme, illuminated from within the pool and around the landscaped areas, all crafted by our in-house teams of craftsmen.
The approximate duration of works was approximately 15 weeks during late winter/early spring, enabling us to carry out the entire project in the less usable time of the year with the added benefit of being ready for the summer.
